BASIC BREAD RECIPE

From this basic mix you can develop your own favourite loaf

Ingredients

200g flour

5g yeast

5g salt

5g bread seasoning

5g  sugar

100g water

Method

  1. mix all dry ingredients together

  2. add the water slowly, sufficient for the mixture to become "dough-like". slightly more or less maybe required

  3. kneed for 5 minutes

  4. form into a round

  5. sprinkle with flour, cover with a damp cloth, place somewhere warm and allow to double in size

  6. pre-heat oven to 220oC

  7. bake for 30 minutes or until dark brown

  8. remove from oven allow to cool on a rack for 30 minutes
