About the Recipe

Ingredients
HUMMUS
500g chick peas
3 cloves garlic
1 lemon
50g olive oil
Salt and Pepper
FLATBREAD
100g red lentils
350g water
3g turmeric
Salt and Pepper
Preparation
HUMMUS
soak the chick peas overnight in one liter of water (substitute with ready boiled if you don't have time)
rinse the peas and then simmer for 1 hr. or until the peas are soft
add finely grated garlic, juice & zest of lemon and olive oil
puree until smooth
NOTE: adding the salt and pepper is critcal, add a little, taste, add a little more
RED LENTIL FLAT BREAD
soak the lentils in the water and tumeric overnight
puree and add salt and pepper (As above for salt and pepper)
the texture should be "dropping" consistency
add a ladel of mixture into a "medium hot" frying pan-a small amount of oil in the pan
cook 2 minutes on either side-be careful not to burn
