HOT SMOKED BUTTERNUT SQUASH

​Ingredients

One butternut squash

10g salt

5g cinnamon

lots of maple syrup

Method​

  • "score the butternut squash" and liberally coat in cinnamon and maple syrup

  • leave for 30 minutes then coat with the salt

  • preheat the smoker to 150-180oC 

  • hot smoke the butternut squash for 1.5 to 2 hours

  • serve with more maple syrup and salt
